There’s a bit of Hatfield Falls in the Tearoom today

because I’ve got a new book coming soon! (and a limited time freebie)

Today, I want to share a link to the Sigh-worthy Romance Tearoom with you.

If you don’t know what the Sigh-worthy Romance Tearoom is, it is a Substack hosted newsletter/blog that I and two of my writing friends run. It consists mainly of one post/newsletter from one of of each month.

December is my month.

As you may know, I have two pen names (Leenie Brown and this one, Annilee Nelson). And both names get highlighted at the Tearoom. (I go by Leenie Ann over there.)

This month it was Annilee’s turn to take center stage with a Hatfield Falls, Book 4 (Don’t Tell My Best Friend I Love Her) excerpt because a publication date has been set for December 29, 2025.

I share why I chose that date in my post, so I’ll let you click over to read that instead of repeating myself.

Be watching for preorder / posting on Patreon / downloading on Patreon / review copies. I should have more info about those things coming soon. Here’s how things should work:

  • The final edits should hit my inbox next Monday, but I hope to have the preorder set up before then.
  • Then, I’ll start sharing the story on Patreon as I go through the edits, and I will make the book available for downloading by my $2 or more Patrons when I’ve finished those.
  • Next, up, I’ll be adding the book to Booksprout for those who wish to download and review.
  • And then, after Christmas has finished and the new year is nearly here — the book will release to all the stores.
  • I have not decided exactly when in this process I’ll add the book to ElevenReader for those who prefer or need to have it read to them. (ElevenReader is a digital voice reading platform.)

Another element in the Tearoom post that you’ll want to know about…

Don’t Tell Mom I Have a Girlfriend is FREE this week at Smashwords in celebration of the upcoming book birthday! (There’s a link to the book on Smashwords in the Tearoom post.)

And that’s it for today. Don’t be surprised to see a few short emails between now and the end of the year as things fall into place for Don’t Tell My Best Friend I Love Her.

Here’s the link to the SWR Tearoom post once more.

Have a great week!
