Here is the official book description:

Best friends. Missed chances. One last shot at forever.

Esther Adams has spent years ignoring her heart — and Fred Bennett has spent just as long hiding his.

Fred’s spent years loving Esther from the sidelines, content to be her friend, her worship team partner, her safe place. He’s tried moving on, but no one has ever taken her place in his heart.

For six years, Esther’s been pretending that she’s over Fred. She had her chance and squandered it. But when she starts dating the single father of a former student, she comes to realize one thing: loving someone new, means losing Fred.

As Fred begins pulling back, ready to walk away from their friendship if it means giving her a real chance at happiness – even if it breaks him – Esther must face the truth that some friendships aren’t meant to fade. Some are meant to turn into forever.

And that’s all I wanted to share today. I hope you’re keeping warm (or cool, depending on where you are in the world) and enjoying the final days of 2025.

I am in the part of the world where we need to keep warm at this time of year, and this quote from Don’t Tell My Best Friend I Love Her could actually come true for New Year’s Day, at least for part of Nova Scotia:

If the weather reports were correct, they would all be enjoying a white New Year’s.

But, depending on where you are in Nova Scotia, it could just as easily rain, like it did yesterday here at my house. Whatever the case may be…

The roads will be messy. Salt and brine will be coating them. And my car’s windshield wipers will be busy trying to keep the road visible to me as I do my Uber deliveries. But don’t worry, just like Mrs. Drummond, I’ve got the good purple windshield washer fluid in my car. 😉 (IYKYK — and you’ll know once you’ve read the story 😉 )

Happy New Year! May it be a blessed one! See you then.
