Brandon nodded. “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.”
“Have you read Anne of Green Gables?” Trish asked him.
He shook his head. “No, but I’ve seen the movies and read that quote on social media every day for the last week. It’s mixed in with all the Thanksgiving and pumpkin spice stuff.”

Monday was Canadian Thanksgiving. It was not the beautiful day that is part of the final scene in Don’t Tell Mom I Have a Girlfriend. It was rather cool, grey, and a bit rainy. But, even so, it was a lovely day.
We hosted a small, casual turkey dinner, and then, afterwards, once all the dishes were done, my husband and I took a walk along one of the lakes near our house. And after that, we came home and watched a Christmas movie.
Like I said, it was a lovely day.
Today is also pretty great because it’s the FAITHBOOKS BOOK BLAST day. There are over 80 books included in the book blast this year!

Please remember that this is a ONE DAY ONLY (October 15) event. Some books may be free for longer than just today, but there is no guarantee that they will be.
Heads up for nonUS Kindle readers:
If you are not in the US and you click on a book that takes you to the .com store for Amazon, you’ll see a message saying that book is not available for purchase. Ignore that. It’s probably available, but you have to be in your country’s Amazon store to get it.
That means, you need to change the .com to .ca or .com.au or .co.uk or whatever your store’s extension is. It’s a bit of a pain, but a stash of free books is worth a bit of trouble in my book. 😀 That being said, Amazon will sometimes change a free price to full price without warning in one or more stores (usually the .ca store it seems). So check that price before downloading.
For my book, Don’t Tell Mom I Have a Girlfriend, Amazon had all their Kindle stores prices matched to Free for me earlier this week, except for Japan and India. If you happen to use those countries or if one of the free prices has reverted to paid on Amazon (which can happen), please visit one of the other retailers where my book is available. It will be free there.
