This past Saturday, I was just itching to get out of the house and go somewhere. It’s spring, so these moments of “let me outside” happen now and then. Usually, they happen on pretty, sunny days. Saturday was not such a day. It was sunny and cloudy and growing grey when we left the house.
We took a drive out to Lawrencetown and walked part of the Salt Marsh Trail. It was a chilly and damp walk. 🙂 I was happy to have my earmuffs and gloves to help keep me somewhat warm. I only wished I had brought an extra sweatshirt to layer under my jacket. Thankfully, the rain was just starting to fall steadily as we were ending our walk, so we didn’t get soaked. However, our coats road home in the backseat and trunk, and I was quite content to let the car heater blow on me – to dry out my jeans and chase away the shivers.
It’s a beautiful trail, but the next time we take a walk here, I hope it’s on a non-rainy day. 🙂
