A Stroll through Pete’s on a Soggy Saturday

Spring around here has some of my favourite weather: sunshine, a nice breeze, and cool to warm (but not hot) temperatures. However, not every spring day is so perfect. Some… or is that many? ðŸ™‚ … can be quite damp.

Such was the case a couple of weekends ago.

So, where did my husband and I go to take a walk? A small mall that is close to home. I needed to pick something up at one of the stores in the mall which meant we could cross two items off the Saturday list at once.

The pictures up above are from one of the stores in that mall called Pete’s Footique. I love the way the store is arranged and how everything is displayed. I often stroll through that store and look at all the things – fruits, veg, meats, canned goods, etc. – when I am in the Sunnyside Mall.

If you ever have a chance to visit that mall, make sure to take a walk through Pete’s and maybe pick up a unique and tasty treat either inside the store or just outside at one of the many food vendors.

(Maybe you can try these haggis and cracked pepper potato crisps. This is the first time I’ve seen this flavour.)

At nearly the other end of the mall, you’ll find another store where I like to wander through and look at all the tempting “treats.” It’s Indigo Spirit, a book store. 🙂

Below is a way to do some book perusal without going to the mall.

If you click the image you will find a page of book covers. All the books on that page are either FREE or $0.99 from today until Sunday, June 12. (My book Don’t Tell Mom I Have a Girlfriend is free.)
