Acadia Park (Lwr. Sackville)

Acadia Park is a pretty little park located just behind our local library here in Lower Sackville. It’s a favourite place of mine to walk. I stopped here just the other day on my way home from the grocery store.

As you can see, it was a grey October day when I was there, and it was not overly warm. I needed a jacket. But even with the clouds blocking out the sun, there was still beauty and colour to be found.

There are several pathways in this park, a bandstand, a playground, a few community garden plots, and a gazebo up on a hill, which is where I was standing when I took the video. I thought you might like to get a 360-degree look at the park.

On the right in the cover image for the video, you can see a brick building with a white bell-tower shape at the top. That is the library. In the basement of that building, you will find some city offices. So you could pick up a permit and then go upstairs and borrow a book all in one stop. 🙂

This combination of library and municipal building was what inspired the close proximity of those two things in Don’t Tell Mom I Have a Girlfriend.
